Serving the Greater Omaha and Council Bluffs Areas Since 2003
Our Mission Statement:
To provide love, security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill
or traumatized by providing them with handmade blankets.
As the Holidays are upon us, so many of you have been reaching out to us wondering how you can help during these crazy times. Seriously, Linus has the VERY BEST volunteers!!! If there is one thing that I have learned from this (rotten) Covid--- is that people are so very GOOD! Our cup is overflowing with wonderful deeds here at Linus. You bless us with the most basic love that can be expressed, the love of a child.
If you would like to give a local child the soft, warm hug of a comforting handmade blanket--- here are some ideas:
If you don't have time to make a blanket for Linus, we would love ️️️ to have gift cards(or cash, if you like) to JoAnns, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Walmart, etc... to give to our volunteers to purchase fabric, yarn, fleece, thread, batting---anything they might need to continue to make blankets. With many of us staying close to home, our blanketeers are making lots of beautiful blankets and could really us a little "extra" shopping money to continue their craft.

You can make a blanket and drop it off at one of our local drop-off spots listed on this website. We accept blankets all year round, so it doesn't have to be for the holidays only. If you want to make a double-tied fleece blankets, there is a great video located below to follow. It will help you make the perfect Linus blanket!
Bless you, my sweet friends. Thank you for all you do! ️Gin
